Don't Shave That Hair!!!
I have recently made a mistake in my life, and I offer my story to you, that you may learn from my error. It all started, as many things do, with me having trouble shitting.

No, I was not constipated; this was not a regularity problem but a matter of technique. It seems my ass-hair had grown to such a length that tiny grogans were constantly getting tied up in the matted jungle between my asscheeks. It led to much frustration, with me KNOWING that I still had something to drop, but unable to shake the tenacious turd loose from its butthair dwelling. Eventually I would have to do two things: either reach down with some paper and try to pinch off the lingering loaf (which required careful precision to avoid smearing the creature all over my rear, especially since I had no way of seeing what I was doing) or just go for broke, start wiping, and hope that I could remove all the leftover fecal matter before the toilet paper reached its Can't-Be-Flushed threshold.

I was contemplating this problem, when I had what seemed at the time to be a bright idea. "Hey! This is my butt and my butt-hair, right? So why don't I just eliminate all the hair, and then my grogans will flow out like beer from a keg!" I said to myself. It is a statement that will go down in history with a lot of other regretted statements. "How many Indians could there be?" said by General Custer. "Looks like a good day for a drive!" by JFK. "There! America On-Line now has complete Usenet access!" by some idiot system tech. Such was my anal shaving idea.

I performed the operation that night, with a cheap disposable razor and a towel to sit on. Starting from the bottom, and shaving from the crack to the cheeks, I began the arduous process of ridding my ass of hair. Occassionally, I would have to clean the razor of accumulated hair and miscellaneous slime, which I did by wiping it on the towel. Slowly, my twin mounds and the between-ravine began to resemble the hairless cheeks of a newborn baby. Finally, I wiped the razor one last time, and surveyed my work. The towel was covered with a pile of hair. My ass was smooth as ivory. I smiled, satisfied, thinking my troubles were over.

Little did I know.

I now have a great respect for anal-hair. Like everything in this world God created, it has its mighty purpose in existence. It was only after I had removed it that I started to learn how much I had been taking it for granted. For one, it provides friction. I learned this the next day, when I walked out into the sun heading for class. After climbing two flights of stairs and starting to sweat, I started to notice something unpleasant. The sweat was accumulating in my crack, and was causing the unpleasant sensation of my two asscheeks sliding past each other with every step. I thought about going to the bathroom and wiping it off, but had to get to class. Eventually, I thought, it would dry.

Unfortunately, it did dry, but only after mingling with the microscopic shit- molecules lingering around my brown starfish. When I stood up after class, my cheeks were stuck together with a slimy sticky shit/sweat combination. As I made my way back to my dorm, it started to itch. God-DAMN, did it itch! Felt like a swarm of ants was making its way up and down my crack. Fighting to keep from jamming my hand down there and scratching away, I rushed back to the dorm.

Unfortunately again, this exertion caused me to sweat, and when I finally reached my room, my cheeks were sliding back and forth against each other like a pair of horny cane-toads. I quickly dropped my pants, and attempted to dry my ass off by sticking it in front of a fan and spreading my cheeks. As I pulled the two mounds of flesh apart, a horrible stench burst free and filled the room. Every dog within a 4 block radius started to howl. I had it worst of all, as the ripe aroma of festering shit/sweat went into the fan and blew back into my face. I fought to keep from heaving. And as I sat there, fighting vomit, my ass cheeks spread and dripping, with the concentrated aroma of my body odor mixed with the tangy smell of my own shit blowing right into my face, I had only one thought: "It will be like this until the hair grows back. Weeks."

Later on, trying to deal as best I could, wiping my ass at every opportunity, I discovered another wonderful use for ass-hair - ventilation. I attempted to launch a fart, only to have it get stuck between my asscheeks. Apparently, with no hair, the two pink twins can get vacuum sealed together, and the result was a frustrating fart that slid up and down between my cheeks like a lost gerbil.

As if that wasn't enough, I am now enduring further torture. As anyone who has ever shaved anything knows, when hair is first growing in, it comes in as stubble. Imagine your ass having the texture of a brillo pad. Well, that is what I am dealing with now. It is a hellish torture, and there are many times when I just look out the window and contemplate why I shouldn't just jump out and get it all over with in one fleshy splat, rather than endure this constant agony.

Well, at least I got his autograph.

Unfortunately, I think I would have needed tits to get a picture with him. He was wisked away fairly promptly after the show and didn't return.. the only folks who got to go meet him were good looking blondes with big tits, go figure; what a pimp.

Anyhow, it was pretty damn rad and at least I have this to show for it! A handful of pretty good movies too.. He played some good tracks like "Tracking Treasure Down", "Without You Near", "Shivers", and "Whitesand".

All in all, one hell of a time. I suggest seeing him soon! He's in Edmonton tonight... Enjoy!

So I ran into some 31 year old dude on Nexopia, whom I openly mocked for being a creepy mother fucker. He was in the sex forusm talkin to 14-16 year old girls about things I dont even need to mention.

Review: IE7 Beta 2

After playing with internet explorer for a short while, I decided that it is no more special than Firefox in any way other than the new Quick Tab's feature.

Bug's and memory allocation aside (a whopping 88megs in memory alone) - here we go.

Visuals:

Although its not a top priority; elegant and eye pleasing visuals help take some of the strain out of browsing the web, especially when you have a lot on the go. IE 7 in contrast with 6, makes browsing the web less like grinding your face with a cheese grater, and more like a light 600 sandpaper... It still would hurt - just after prolonged use.

The blue tabs that seem to scream "we want to use Mac style gradients", are nice, but Microsoft just cant seem to pull off the looks that make so many other brands so much better. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Microsoft continues to make ugly products. IE 7 isn't exactly ugly, but it doesn't wow you in the way a company like Microsoft should. Many of the most basic themes that can be downloaded with Firefox, are much cleaner and more colour coordinated than the new IE.

What first stands out is how Microsoft has changed the whole layout of the top controls. File, Edit, View, Favourites, Tools, and Help are now BELOW the search bar, and as of beta 2, immovable. I'm sorry, but making every single application on your system work one way, then changing it around for one application - is not my idea of a good system.
Again, Microsoft is changing the things that work, and adding things that suck. Menu's go at the top Bill. It pisses me off just looking at it, and the fact I cant change it makes me angrier.

However, there is one plus - they have made a lot of the less used buttons smaller and put them off to the side. Once you are familiarized with where these buttons are, you will be glad they aren't wasting your space at the top of the screen. As a result, there is more viewable area to look at the web page. This was a good idea, so I must concede to that.

All in all, the colour scheme is basic, and its prettier than IE 6, but in no way is it impressive. I can only hope that Microsoft takes some lessons from Apple, and learns that to beat the best like Mozilla, you need to either make it pretty, or make it basic, there's no in between.

Functionality:

There are a few new features at user level in IE 7. RSS feed detection, Quick Tabs, and a page button that allows you change the text size, and page zoom from the top bar.

Most recognizable of these is the tabbing system. The tabs work with your basic ctrl-T combo, good news for us Firefox users. If you do use this browser, there wont be anything funky like option-T or Alt-T. Also, as seen in the screenshot below, there is a Quick Tabs "tab" you can open at any time with Ctrl-Q. This shows you a small version of all the tabs you have open. It's a handy little tool, but not so special. One of the better visualizations that Microsoft has come up with, but there isn't exactly any OpenGL transitions or anything. Maybe in Vista, who knows.

The RSS feed functionality.. doesn't seem to work at this time. Not on XML sites, nor on sites with external feeds. No idea why this is, but it's to be expected with Microsoft betas, they always tend to be shady.

And you ask "With all these differences, how does it handle the Explorer to Iexplorer transition?" Well, I didn't overwrite my Internet Explorer 6. But what happens when you type in C: from the browser, is it opens an explorer window at the directory C:. My assumption is in reverse, (typing www.websitepr0n.com) it would open a IE7 browser at that address.

All other functionality, (such as activeX controls) seem to work the exact same at a user level as they do in IE 6.

Conclusion:

Microsoft hasn't totally screwed up (I know eh?), but they haven't created something as revolutionary as they like to think. This program runs fairly smoothly, so far as to say better than IE 6. However, this will only take a bit off the edge of Firefox's growth in the browser market. If Firefox continues to innovate at its current pace, or faster, Microsoft would need to innovate much more boldly than it is now. Microsoft needs to learn to perfect what counts - to keep up with what is in my opinion still a better browser than IE 7, and that is Firefox.

I dug up a list of all the parties that were actually out there (you may not have had one to vote for in your constituency), but heres a look at some of the other options there were this election:

Christian Heritage Party - hahahahahha

Progressive Canadian Party - cute idea, but she tries way too hard. If she had better credentials, and actually knew anything about politics.. she may have a shot. Too bad you dont get anywhere in this country, or any country, by sitting on the fence. You need to have stronger ideals. The statement she makes about not lowering or raising taxes but "finding the money somehow" basically made me projectile vomit at her whole party.

Libertarian Party - I voted for Nader! I hate everyone! But really.. thats all I can think of, is the American version of this garbage party.

Communist Party of Canada - Lame, but completely acceptable ideology. Still, about as pathetic as a marijuanna party.

First Peoples National Party of Canada (...cough lame..)

Marijuana Party - A strong party, with strong ideals. Just look at how funny the jokes on their website are! (It's a joke that a party is allowed, when it represents an illegal substance dont you think? No one would be laughing at the "Kill Babies" Party.. except me)

Western Block Party - Great idea, horribly conceived.

First day in computer science "165" and ive been downgraded from C++ to python and XHTML. Who knows, in week 10 maybe I'll learn something about PHP.. but most likely not more than I already know. I highly doubt they will let us even tinker with an SQL server.

British Columbia is on track to elect 26 Tories, six Liberals, three NDP MPs and an Independent. (thats 36 seats)

All 28 ridings in Alberta will go to the Conservatives. (28 seats)

Manitoba and Saskatchewan are not expected to change, once again electing a combined 20 Conservatives, four Liberals and four NDP MPs. (28 Seats)

The Greater Toronto Area will elect 35 Liberals, eight Conservatives and two NDP MPs while the rest of Ontario will elect 49 Conservatives, four Liberals and eight New Democrats. (45 in just the GTA, and another 49 in ontario for 94 seats)

Montreal will have 21 Bloc MPs and seven Liberals, while the rest of Quebec will elect 39 Bloc MPs and eight Conservatives. (67 seats)

Atlantic Canada will elect 15 Liberals, 13 Conservatives and four NDP MPs. (32 seats)

Okay, so get this...

BC, Alberta, Sask, Manitoba COMBINED, do not have the voting power of Ontario.

Is it just me? Or is it wrong that 4 provinces combined have 2 seats less than one province? Well, if you look at population - Yes, I suppose its fair. However I think an issue arises when it comes to interests of the whole country, not just interests of Ontario.

The question is, should your vote count less because you are in Ontario? I dont think thats a fair way of doing it... And sadly, I don't have an answer to this dilemma.

I just find it scary that the GTA alone, has 45 seats. The last bastion of liberal ass kissing is a voting powerhouse. All like minded, and catered to by a party that knows they can win half the game by catering to one city, in one province of our Country.

Heres to hoping it goes well on January 23rd, and that rational thought goes into the decision making on peoples ballots (but when were people ever rational).

What I Learned This Year

I'm going off to Mexico in a day, so I decided to make my last post for the year a peice of advice - something I have learned. Take it how you will. Some of these things I'm about to say may come as common sense, but the funny thing about common sense, is it's not very common.

"Deciding whether or not to do something wrong isn't about whether or not you will feel guilty, or who you will hurt and how much. It's about what kind of person you want to be, independant of what others see."

"How you live your life shouldn't be governed by anything other than respect. Respect for yourself, and respect for those that respect you. All other emotions will follow."

"Calculating the amount one should dedicate, whether it is love, effort, or time, contradicts the fact we even wish to input those very things we calculate." - In writing this, it reminded me of something my little green friend once said: "Do or do not, there is no try."

"Positive thinking only works well when thinking positively about something you have already accomplished. Otherwise you spend your time dreaming, not doing."

"Money does a lot of things, including making you happy (poor people say otherwise, but thats because they are poor). Money buys you friends. Money buys you respect. Money however, doesnt buy you the love and kinmanship that some of us desire, it buys fake or temporary things. In essence, money leases. What am i getting at? My new years resolution this year was to have greater integrity. For the most part, I feel I have accomplished that.

My next years resolution will be to care about others more, and show a more philanthropic personality. I would say it is in the name of good karma, but I think that things should be done for their own sake, not a future reward.. Karma implies reward too much.

On a final note. Just wanted to thank my girlfriend Natalie for a wonderful year :)

So I finally got to go out with my bud Stephanie today (Dont worry, it gets interesting), havent seen her in over a year and some. Good times always ensue - but this time, something much more interesting happened.

We were to go to this house party I was told, that was being hosted by some dentist in central Calgary. We get there and its full of older people, generally sorta scary, most people 30 and up but a few of us were 19-25 (the blonde chicks). So anyhow it turns out that the host of this party - the dentist.. was no other than my very own dentist! Yea, it was really fucking awkward ill tell you that much. My Doctor was hosting a party and macking on chicks I went to high school with. Given hes a good looking guy, however the experience was nothing short of traumatic.

I wont mention his name or anything else I overheard, as hes a good guy and I dont wish to sully his reputation or office... but wow, that was just the most fucked up thing ever.

They say hate is a strong word - I agree with that. Which is why I am making a list of things that generally suck so much ass, that I have come to hate them and how they effect our world and our lifestyles. If you can think of anything else I should add to my "Things I Hate (And you should too)" list, feel free to comment, and I will add it.

The question I wonder if people ask themselves when reading my comic is: Can he actually draw his characters in real life? Or is this the marvels of Photoshop and does it take him about a million passes to get it like while drawing it pixel per pixel.

The answer is yes and no.

The characters in my comic are realized first through sketches, and then digitized in photoshop. When I first started this comic, I drew it by hand and then scanned the image, sharpened, inked, and coloured. Since comic 4 or so, I changed to just drawing my characters in photoshop. Originally the great part about doing it this way was that after I had a completed character, I could copy features from one to the next. However, once I learned what I was doing and I became a little less shitty at drawing, It was faster for me just to redraw things than to copy and paste anything.

Its quite obvious I copy and paste characters from frame to frame, and thats purely because I dont have the spare time, nor do I think its economical for me to animate the character in every frame. However from time to time, I will re-draw and arm, or hair, or what not. Most ofhte time, the facial features (obviously very simple ones) are just drawn on by hand on a frame to frame basis.

Its clear that these new characters that I use are done entirely in photoshop from start to finish. Despite the fact Im not a very fantastic artist, I asked myself.. Do people actually know I can draw my charaters by hand? It's something I was wondering about so I decided to post a sketch I did at work before doing comic 13.

Just like any sketch vs its digitized final, its not as good as what it would look like online, but heres an example of what my characters look like as a sketch.

This picture was drawn with a ballpoint pen and no erasers.. so lots of mistakes remain such as proportions and extra little lines. And of course again, its just a sketch.

And you ask, well actually, I didnt give a shit at all.. I hate/love your comic, so who cares?

The reason is of course that I felt like it. So you can go to hell and die.

Also of note: I changed my entire artistic approach to my comic today, not only did I redraw all the characters and write two comics (11 and 12), I also added a new character; Eric. Eric will represent my friend Brandon. He's around a lot, so im sure he will be in the comic plenty.

All the characters in my comic now have screen names as to give readers more of a feel about the characters, not about the people it originates from. This way.. if the characters go off on to one story or another, I can develop them in ways I choose (aka the Mr. Questy story). The comic will of course, still reflect the people they are loosely based on, but the new names will give them room to breathe and be unique.

The Greatest Challenge Ever

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the internet's hardest riddle. There are 138 pieces to this awesome game.

I am on Question 14, which took me a few hours to get to, but let me give you a summary of what you are up against before you make an attempt at getting past about level 3 or 4.

You have to know your shit about computers, period. These riddles require you to research everything about the problem displayed.

You have to read code, and convert code.

You have to know your operating system and its settings.

You have to be knowledgable in other languages (whether or not you speak them is not required).

You have to know how to use seperate computer programs as tools.

You have to know how to use Google to do research (However make sure you type -notpron in each search so you dont end up at a spoilers pages.

Honestly, there's so much to tell already at level 14 it excites me. The stuff I've solved makes me feel like a genius. Well I cant take all the credit. From level 6 or so, me and Brandon brainstormed it together.

I DO suggest doing it with someone else, it adds an element of fun and teamwork, and it will help you solve the riddles faster. It's not cheating to get help, it is cheating to find the answers in a word file on the internet.

Anyhow, I'm not giving any clues or spoilers. All I can say is you will learn it by playing it. The objective of the game is to get to the next page. E.g Page 1 leads you to page 2, and page 2 leads you to page 3.

Sometimes you are required to put in a password, sometimes you are required to devulge the URL of the new page.

A New Face

My blog has taken a racial twist, and now has a brand new colour and title.

I mainly did this for 4 reasons.

1) I was bored at work and wanted to edit my blog
2) I decided people normally read this shit at night, and so black wont kill your eyes.
3) My old template was screwing up on a regular basis, so I decided that I'd just throw away the modifications and make a brand new one.
4) The blog name now matches the title, and my personality :)

The new template, looks almost the same as the old, but with a bit cleaner html and no more spam provoking surveys on the right hand side.

Hopefully, this new template doesnt give me any troubles. I'm real close to just designing one myself, but that would be all together too much work.

Nothing Personal

I've been writing in this thing for a long time, and one thing that I've always stood for was not getting too much into my personal life. Yea, I give the big summary from time to time, but I've always stood firm the the idea that no one gives a flying fuck what kind of icecream you ate with your emo friends last night.

As a result my blog up to this point has been mostly me displaying cool stuff.. or so I think, that can mildly entertain people when and if they check back on a regular basis.

As a result, my blog seems to be a mild success. More successful at least than your average blog that gets X hits for being a .blogspot or livejournal blog. (Although I refuse to post in livejournal if not only for the emo hippies that all whine their lives away there).

Anyhow, I am lacking any form of real inspiration lately, that is, other than writing my comics which pop up anywhere between once a day, and once a month.

I have a select few (maybe 10 or so) avid readers that I know come here fairly often. I put you particularly, to the test of coming up with something original that I can have as a daily or weekly addition to my blogs content.

As it stands, I write the "Daily Links" and my "Academic Probation" but wouldint mind having another section. Surely I have other entertaining tidbits posted from time to time, but as stated I would like another re-occuring section.

I don't plan to ever stop Academic Probation; I find it gives me a little bit of artistic expression which contrasts largely with my day to day scene. Thats besides the fact whether or not you are impressed, I usually impress myself with doing more than I figured I could. Which gives me a nice sense of accomplishment.

Oh, and I wanted to add that I am changing my comment process back to anonymous for a while. I will see if I get anymore spam advertisements. I will still require the validation key, but not the user login. Hopefully this will allow people who dont write at blogger.com to be able to have a voice on whomever I am bashing :)

The original CSRPG was done back in 2003 in conjunction with my classmates Mike, and Geoff. Since then, Mike has wrote a CSRPG 2, and is now in development of CSRPG3. This comic sort of plays on his idea for CSRPG3.

So yeah, the only reason comic 6 STILL isnt up, is ive become a WoW addict again and I cant stop playing long enough to finish the final sketching and colouring I have to do.

I've been actually asked by a lot of people when comic 6 is comic, which im glad to hear. Makes me feel like my noob comic is at least something people marginally look forward to reading.

If you are a tool, and cannot view my comics because they are "too small" It's because you are A) an idiot and use internet exploder. And B) have yet to realise the workings of the microsoft image toolbar.

Here's how you fix it:

In internet explorer go,

1) Tools >> Internet Options
2) Click the advanced tab on the top right.
3) Scroll down to the "Multimedia" section.
4) Uncheck "Enable Automatic Image Resizing"

Tada.. You can view them in the size they were intended.
